I met Korinne the day we did her winter maternity photos, but it felt like I had known her for so long! She was pregnant with her second little boy, who made his grand debut less than two weeks after this photoshoot. I met her at her house before we went out shooting so that she’d have an easy place to change, without getting too cold. But I have definitely had sessions where we are doing outfit changes on location in the back of my car! So it was a nice change to plan ahead and only go a few blocks away from her house!

 

 

 

Going out and shooting this day was so much fun and such a great way to spend the afternoon. Despite the cold, it was the perfect day. And thanks to the Leah Maria Couture dress that I’ve got in my client closet, Korinne was able to wear winter boots and leggings underneath. And you can’t even tell!!

The sun shining through the trees was the best way to warm up these winter maternity photos. And you all know that a little sunflare never hurt any body.

I find it less common in the winter to get a good sunflare, so this was the best day!

Finding a location was so funny, because usually I will spend lots of time making sure every detail is perfect before starting a session. I had one thing in mind when preparing for this session. And that was: WHITE. I just wanted ALL the snow. And when the sun started to set and clouds started to roll in from the east, I just about died. It was the most dreamy!
