What do I say? What can I say about this stunning wedding at the Old Timers Cabin wedding venue in Edmonton, Alberta? I mean COME ON. The bride is stunning. The groom and groom’s men were so much fun to hang out with, and the whole wedding party, relatives, and other wedding vendors made the whole day amazing.

Kristina and Dustin’s Old Timer’s Cabin wedding was so laid back. Every detail was wonderfully taken care of. The whole day was right on schedule, which rarely happens. And the Old Timer’s Cabin just rounded out the whole ‘cozy’ vibe. Every moment, right from their friendly and extremely welcoming parents (who live right around the corner from each other) to the family-style dinner served at the Old Timer’s Cabin reception, it was the most amazing day. Which is how it’s supposed to be.

Dustin got ready at his parents’ beautiful house with his groomsmen in tow. Their home was right down the road from Kristina’s parents home — where Kristina and her bridesmaids got ready. The best part was that we started the day off by staying on schedule. Like I had said earlier, this rarely happens. The guys all got ready in the den with a little help from Dustin’s parents with steaming their coats and pinning their boutonnières.

The overcast, kind of cloudy day made the day warm without being overwhelming. It is my favourite kind of day. The sun isn’t beating down on you, no one is sweating through their six-piece suits, and you don’t walk into the reception with a sunburn. It was a wedding photographers’ dream day as far as I am concerned.

They had their first look on their wedding day at Woodbridge Farms in Sherwood Park, Alberta

Dustin and Kristina had their ceremony and reception at the Old Timers Cabin in Edmonton, Alberta. But before their ceremony, they shared the first look, alone, at the Woodbridge Farms in Sherwood Park, Alberta. Dustin got to the location first and set up so that Kristina could walk up without being seen – there was so much excitement in the air! It was so special being able to photograph this moment for them.

Right after their first look, we had some time to take some group portraits with their wedding party. They even brought their DOG for a few photos! You all know I love a good doggy first look.

Honestly. Everything went so on time for this wedding. We did group portraits, individual portraits, had some puppy snuggles and still had time to leisurely make our way over to the Old Timers Cabin in Edmonton, Alberta, without rushing or being late. That’s my kinda party.

After making our way back to the Old Timer’s Cabin in Edmonton, Alberta, we got to take some detail shots, chat with the officiant, DJ, say our hellos to the parents and get some photos of the guests getting settled for the ceremony. Soon, the ceremony went off without a hitch.

Kristina and Dustin had people laughing and crying happy tears while they read their personalized vows to each other. Each and every one of their guests was completely caught up in their wedding ceremony and experiencing them tying the knot. It made me SO happy to see. It’s moments like that, that make being a wedding photographer so rewarding. Being able to capture their special day so that their friends and family could enjoy their special moment.

After the ceremony, we had a bit of time to go out and take more portraits. We got to do the family session, and enjoy cocktail hour with guests while the amazing staff at the Old Timer’s Cabin flipped the space into the reception area and dance floor.

But seeing the photos do more speaking than I could. I could write a book or two about how much this amazing couple loved each other, how everyone knew it, and how you could tell just by looking at them. I could write about their infectious energy and hospitable families all day, but… let’s just check out their wedding photos. Shall we?
