In the summer, I had the pleasure of being a part of Katie and Brendan’s wedding in more than one way. Katie had asked me to stand beside her and be one of her bridesmaids the spring prior. It started off with us showing up to visit for Easter and her immediately handing me a ^biodegradable^ confetti balloon, “Open it outside! Here is a pin!!!” She shuffles me out into the wind on the patio. I pop the balloon, confetti blows past me (along with a little piece of paper she had put inside). I didn’t notice this but Katie immediately sweeps it up before the wind took it down the street, on it she had written “Will you be my bridesmaid?” OBVIOUSLY!
Fast forward to the next winter, wedding is coming up in a few months I am trying my hardest to not accidentally book another wedding client that same weekend. We have bridesmaid shopping (for bathing suits & maxi dresses), bachelorette party (rock climbing, Moroccan dinner, and an escape room.
Then comes the craziest wedding ever!
It had everything from a slip’n’slide aisle, to a converted trailer for the bar. Non traditional everything in the best way ever. Check out some of the photos I took while also fulfilling bridesmaid duties!
