Reasons Why You Should Book Your Engagement Photos If You Haven’t Already

So, your significant other popped the question (or maybe you did), which means your life has shifted from normal to this weird time where everyone only talks about your wedding. You spend way to much time on Pinterest looking at wedding dresses, flowers, donut walls, and thousands of pink bridesmaid dresses. Your coffee table is covered in wedding magazines. Your web browser has 13 new bookmarks from wedding blogs for tips and inspiration. Not to mention the dozens of wedding vendors you need to contact and book before it’s too late. But first, you should get some engagement photos.

Before you get overwhelmed by the hours of researching you’re about to do, take a moment to cherish this time in your relationship. You just got engaged and you’re about to embark on an amazing adventure with the love of your life! You should have photos to celebrate and document that! Whether it’s a couples session, adventure session, pre-wedding session, engagement session, whatever you want to call it! It’s the perfect way to freeze this moment in your lives!

You and your significant other are about to get exceedingly busy with wedding planning. You don’t want to skip over this.

People may have some hesitations on getting engagement photos done. I am here to tell you why I think they’re a great investment!

You will alleviate nerves and apprehensions.

Having your photo taken is not a naturally occurring event unless you are an actor or a professional model, so you’ll obviously have some apprehensions with having a camera in your face. You most likely have no idea what to expect and I don’t want you to look tense in your wedding photos.

I imagine when people book engagement photos without having experience in front of the camera, they have no idea what to expect.

“We’re so awkward…”

“We don’t know how to pose!”

“What do we do with our hands?”

But hear me out.

If you think you may be awkward in front of the camera but you’ve never actually been in front of a camera before how would you know? Getting engagement photos taken is a perfect way to get comfortable in front of a camera.

You won’t be doing cheesy prom poses or making direct eye contact with the camera. What we will do is have fun and keep things natural and relaxed.

I totally put myself out there and I’m not afraid to make a fool of myself in front of you. I am awkward too! So, be prepared to laugh a lot!

Every time I get an enquiry, my first question is if they’considering engagement photos as well. They’re one of my favourite parts of meeting one of my couples.

These photos are always a great way to showcase what we’ve created.

When you get the photos back you’ll realize the photos look awesome, and that there was nothing to be nervous about in the first place.

The whole process will give you more confidence in me and you won’t have to worry about my capturing your wedding day, but instead focus on your love.
